Our History
Navada Clothing was established in 1969 by Mr. Ishwarlal Nana in Fordsburg, Johannesburg and has grown from a small family business, with a production team of just 12, to a company employing and creating jobs for almost 400 people around South Africa.
Mr. Nana is still enjoying the daily challenges of the business, which will be celebrating 50 years soon. It’s a joy to see how our brands and products have been so well received by the end users. Our customers are the ones we need to thank for the continuous strength and growth of the company.
Mr. Sanjay Nana joined Navada Clothing as a marketing director in 1986 and is now the CEO of the company. “I work extremely hard to ensure that I improve efficiencies throughout the product chain and I am continuously looking to add new products to our existing range in order to meet demands and keep up with current trends. I am a firm believer that feeling good goes hand in hand with looking good which is the reason why I take pride in what I do.
A fully modernised factory was built in Aeroton in 1990, south of Johannesburg, thus creating jobs for people in the surrounding areas. Over the years Navada has been constantly upgrading equipment, technology, machinery and computer systems to ensure that the quality of the final product remains of the highest standard. We source various fabrics and designs from around the world in order to provide stylish and high quality garments and shoes to stockists across Africa.
